Aim:
- To foster a love and enjoyment of music with parent and child interacting in a cheerful atmosphere.
- To provide tactile experiences of the beat through body awareness and to prepare beat through gross motor movements.
- To experience vocal exploration, voice inflection and the comparatives of soft/loud (dynamics), fast/slow(tempo), high/low (pitch).
- To encourage participation, work towards turn-taking and respond to own names.
- To anticipate the climax of an action/rhyme/song and to participate at appropriate times.
- To provide a model of in-tune singing to enhance the children’s aural development.
- To teach a wide repertoire of rhymes, songs and games.
